Simply known as the ‘comfortable chair’ when they first appeared in France in the 1920s, comfortable was certainly fitting. Developed in the Art Deco period, these chairs moved away from function to embrace enveloping curves and comfort. Adopted and made popular by the gentleman's clubs in nineteenth-century England, the club chair was born.

With curvaceous cigar armrests, bulging domed seat back and beautiful lines enhanced with piping and antiqued studwork, this chair is full of charm. The solid hardwood frame is glued, screwed and dowelled for maximum strength and supports plenty of springs, padding and stuffing ensuring it’s solid and incredibly comfortable. Upholstered in our exquisite Classic Leather - a premium semi-aniline leather that’s soft and smooth with a subtle sheen that develops delicate undertones when stretched. Topped off with a specially developed seat cushion that has a foam core encased in a plump fibre jacket for absolute comfort, this luxurious chair oozes sophistication.
